i personally dont even use fingers if i dont have to. i just combine fingers into like, mitts, and then draw little dividing lines

like even most of my robots just have like 2 fat fingers and a fat thumb its how i get around accidentally drawing yaoi hands

i do this too
whether it's the fingertips or the knuckle, i usually draw an obtuse angle as the edge and kinda go from there

I've actually always thought that you're one of very few people I see doing this well. I used to do it during predrawing but eventually just gave up and started winging it...
