Im not that whoever hes called that stole art or something

i spelled it right from day 1
the proof is in the pudding, mammal

I suck at drawing in general shading
gib tips

yeah its traced from one of these frames

black lagoon is stuff so it dosent matter

settle down guys, espio drew it.

yeah its traced from one of these frames
he copied it by looking at the frame

he used it as a reference.

if you're gonna get on his case for drawing from reference, please retroactively get mad at every other artists here lol

Tracing wouldnt improve my drawing by a bit because im trying to learn it because I need that for school.

but I would say he should draw from a different pose rather than copying the original pose

better practice even if it won't look 100% correct

au contraire, i say copying poses from good art is a great way to learn, you can't just get hooked on that style and become a copycat.

that frame especially, cus it focuses on foreshortening, which is one of the most mind-forgety art techniques to get down. 90% of the foreshortening i draw is from reference, i've barely got it down yet.

Im currently trying to draw over things to learn the anatomy of faces, pencil thickness, etc...
Than go to freestyle drawing or whatever its called.

let's stop an argument right here. it's not traced.

Draw over. Not trace.
Either you dont understand or my english just sucks

didn't you literally just say you trace
tracing isn't an exact science
it's not like you can perfectly copy a picture just through tracing, unless you have a specialized rig specifically for tracing

wait hold on maybe i jumped the gun by saying espio drew this from reference

where was the paper located, espio? was it on top of the monitor so the image shined through the paper, or was it in front of you on the desk and you were looking at the image on the screen. either way i'm not judgin
