Photoshop!

My word is not godspoken though, keep that in mind: Everyone has their own preference of tool. One of the reasons I'm using Photoshop and not something like Krita is that I do a lot of other things with Photoshop besides digital art, such as photomanip or rudimentary graphic design. It all depends on what you want in your toolbox.

this seems counterproductive. if you don't draw the things that you're learning to draw, how is progress made?

I am drawing those things though, but i'm just not putting them up here, not anywhere for that matter because it looks horrendous so far

Judge was pretty blunt, but its not bad to tell someone not to hide things.
And landmine, you should post things youre not comfortable posting because you think its bad. Ask for help on how to properly do said things or find out what looks wrong from a different set of eyes if you cannot figure it out.
