Is the GIGABYTE GV-N450OC-1GI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card Any good?

What would be a decent price for it, or should i go up to a 2gb for 200$.

My motherboard is a NFORCE4M-A

@Feep, it's a decent deal for a decent card. If I would suggest anything, I'd go for the EVGA GTX 460 from NewEgg. I just purchased it for $189 and I can play anything I throw at it.

As for the S 450, you'd get alright performance with 2GB Dedicated, but it's still a tad high for price compared to the 460. :/

On-Topic: Get the 460GTX 1 gig. It's cheap (sorta) and powerful. You don't really need 2 gigs of dedicated video ram based off from what I heard.

If you were to go for a 460 and felt comfortable doing some overclocking you should totally go with a MSI Hawk 460

Overclocking is just basically raising the clock speeds on it like the shader clock from 800mhz to 1000mhz and such. It just gives your card a slight edge and companies usually manage to overclock it to the point where it won't fry itself.

As Keonesan said, that is what overclocking is. If your card comes with a clocking tool though, I suggest you only use the dial for controlling the fan speed when it heats up. Do not start changing clock settings until you're completely sure how the system works and what the risks are.
