I want to use one of three 60 dollar gamestop cards. I write on the card when I get them so I can know when they expire.

It's a gift card for Gamestop, what else are you going to spend it on besides games? Your parents aren't thinking.

Saving money isn't even how you make mega bucks anyway. No amount of money sitting in a savings account will ever gain enough interest to offset inflation. You keep enough cash around for what you need to be safe and invest as much as you can.
