Author Topic: Tom is streaming a movie/Is it illegal? THAT IS THE QUESTION. [offline]  (Read 796 times)

Really, the BL Community is really small, and livestream likes to favor the people who pay up.

I never get an email saying, "WE SAW YOU STREAMING CONTENT OLOL."

This is like the third time I've seen you do this.
First time.

So it's not illegal until someone accuses you?

holy stuffforget.

Imagine if maybe 100 people livestreamed it.

Or if 1 popular person livestreamed it.  Whenever Deadmau5 has a stream up he has over 1000 viewers.

That's my point really, livestream started to crack down on people who stream things like that.

So it's not illegal until someone accuses you?

Really, it isn't illegal. Piracy itself is just obtaining copyrighted material unlawfully via p2p, etc. Streaming copyrighted material is something different.

EDIT: Looks like my livestream hasn't saved any of the movies under On-Demand, so technically it really isn't illegal.
