Since this topic hasn't had any suggestions or progress lately, I have a couple of possible weapons.
The first one is the Uruk Hai Scimitar from LOTR.
 
Or the Gunblade suggestion before.

I would love to see a replica of this Gunblade from Final Fantasy on Blockland.

You may not be aware but I had Japanese homework over all of christmas break, and it's an online class so I get a stuff ton of assignments. I have to use most of my home computer time for Japanese; I barely get any time to myself. I'm graduating this year so I have to spend that time learning Maya for college, not scripting Blockland. I simply have not had the time to work on this.

I'll keep bumping this topic (with help from my oh so loyal bump-slave friend julius) and finish up v3 whenever I possibly can. I'm estimating my next window of free time to be around Winter Break time.
