Aren't you fairly young?  Life isn't an ideal place, deal with it.Allow me to address the two over-sensitive morons at the same time.

There aren't many blacks in Harvard, for example.  Colleges attempt to have a fairly even spread of their students' races, so they aren't accused of being "tribal" by friends like you two.  If there is a Caucasian with a 96 average, and a Black with a 95 average, they will be more likely to take the black, so they have a better spread of race.

You're a loving moron. Colleges don't care as much about being called tribal because they have less blacks. They care about who gets in. They accept the smartest people. Its not loving hard to explain that a white person just happen to have a higher IQ then another person who happened to be black.No college is going to accept someone who isn't as smart as another person because of their skin color.

Like, if they opposite of racism is a complete disregard for skin color, than preferential treatment is probably closer to racism than the opposite of racism.

But it is true that there is a portion of black people that may be larger than the portion of white people who were disadvantaged because of situations that they were born into and have no control over... so it's tough.

Basically, I'm much more in favor of equal opportunity rather than affirmative action.
