Author Topic: Simple Adding Machine  (Read 5249 times)

This, is the start of something wonderful for me.

So today in school, I was thinking about an adding machine in blockland. X + Y = Z, the x being the number of bricks on the left, the y the number on the right, and Z is the outcome. It is very simple, but using firerelay ups helped me. Now to get to the pictures.

The machine itself, I wanted to go for an 1800s theme.

Add two bricks to it

Click the add button, the red clears it for a new equation.

BOOM! You get your answer.

You can even use bricks stacked on top of one another!

So, that's it. Expect a v2 soon with triple digits as I explore more of adding using bricks. I will make it so some bricks have a value of 10 or something, but for now, what do you think of a semi-beginner eventer?

EDIT: by popular demand, have a video

Oh, and how do I get my voice on fraps?

Here, have the save if you like. Don't steal it D:

sure, if you do first grade math ;)

Seems basic, but do the events you put on top need to have events in them to work? If they don't then its amazing.

They do, it would be impossible without. And hence the name, simple adding machine.

Give us a movie, how do we not know you jsut add bricks and jsut do the math in your head and insert the print O.o

Either a movie, or pictures of event lines.

Could you post the save file?

Why would you not believe me?

It is quite simple, actually. But fine, if a movie is what you ask for, a movie is what you will get.

He put events in the yellow bricks to firerelay into bricks above it. Therefore, it can only count those 1x1 yellow bricks. You could however copy those events into any other brick and lay it on the machine, still counting as one brick.
