Author Topic: my adenoids, laserotherapy & reactive reacting: goop with bloody-red streaks  (Read 979 times)

DURR, BLOKLAN FORMS MAH FAVRIET BROG

so yeah, I'm suffering from stage 3 adenoids that even hang on my throat by a tidbit. I'm subscribed at 10th of January on laser surgeoning that has 2 stages, listed here by order of place-taking.

stage 1: the scariest. mondays, wednesdays and fridays

first the doctor checks my mouth and then uses a spray of lidocaine on it. same with both nostrils. then he takes a thin metal stick, wraps its tip in cottonwool, and dips it in (guess what) lidocaine, and smears the hanging tidibit with it. then he gives me, my mom and himself some anti-laser googles (misspell intended) and grabs a device I myself will specify as "Burninator 9000" because i don't know what's it really called. First he laser's the hanging tidibit of the adenoidites thru the mouth, and then does that with the maining of them thru both nostrils.

stage 2: inhalation. everyday 'cept weekends
I sit on a chair, and some other doctor gives me a plastic mask with some fluid attached to the "nose" then gives me 2 laser devices a lot different than the "Burninator 9000" and I have to hold the ends on sides of my necks. then he/she turns it on and leaves me like that for 10 minutes.

My mom has a piece of paper with reactive reactions to the laseraging.
  • Sneezing, more runny nose
  • Makes goop with red or grey streaks that sits in nostrils
  • Body temperature sky-rocketing to 37,2o

had the second when i got home. those look just horrifying sometimes when there's a lot of streaks on them.

tl;dr topic title

edit: kajfkfaj got adenoids and adenoidites mixed up. *fixificates*

Is it deadly or not? No sarcasm. Im serious.

the adenoidites, or the goop?

Adenoidites. The goop is a side effect, they won't continue treatment if its going to kill you right? Right??

not seriously deadly, but from what I heard from my mom, they're a tidibit close to the brain

That sounds painful. The only laser surgery I ever had was when they had to cut the bottom of my tongue for some reason I don't know.

I'm sorry you have to go through that :(

actually they're not REMOVING them, just sizing them down

as they say the adenoides are part of something and removing them is HIGHLY NOT recommended.

What is stage 3 Adenoidites?
Sounds painful and I'm guessing that 32.7o is in Celsius?
