I have seen quite a bit of discussion regarding the Editor Wand, and I want to clear a few things up regarding my semi-support of it's inclusion into BLR:

1. The Wand, as I used it, was only to move a previously placed brick, or to angle a brick in a more gravity-friendly position. BLR cannot do this.
2. Warping bricks, as most used the Wand for in RTB, I do not support in the least. I frowned upon it, out loud.
3. Inclusion of my definition of the Wand, into retail, will make the frustrating issue of build-adjustment a much more user friendly experience, as well as adding more brick-building variables to enrich the construction experience.

You are correct, Badspot- we do not need brick stretching or floating bricks. I can live without them, in most cases. But building becomes extremely frustrating when one must plant a brick, and move it around, and then build up, and realize you started askew;  You the have to utilize the hammer and destroy your entire work, rather than move it. Rotated pieces are a cornerstone of Expert brick design. Admittedly, some users get carried away, but without inclusion of brick-through-brick building, brick rotation set at any angle becomes more paint on the Builder's palette. We all know some bricks have a center mounted hole, as well- Take the 2x2 cone for example- How else would one get a brick on the top of that? Its clearly possible, but your stern disproval of the RTB concept of the Wand prevents you from seeing it's usefulness.

So Badspot or coders- Please add a tool for post-placement adjustment of brick position and non-orthogonal rotation. One must use a brick to it's highest degree to really use a brick.

there are many placements on game that SHOULD be capable but are not.
but most of that is the game/engine not even allowing it. not that BS dont want them done at all.

But building becomes extremely frustrating when one must plant a brick, and move it around, and then build up, and realize you started askew;
"It is easier to destroy than to create. This game is hard."

Retail(like in rtb) should have a setting to toggle floating bricks, bricks in bricks, and various other placement problems.

I loath floating bricks.

Do you realize that is sarcasm?

Absolutely. I was applying the comedy of the sarcasm to the comedy of the fact that Wizzard finds it hard building in retail.

No, no, and no.
People, this is like building with real Legos!
I only agree that Badspot should add more bricks.
But you can't stretch real lego, or make lego float, or put pieces into each-other.

I think that is fair, makes people try harder to not fail at life.

Rebuilding a structure from the ground up because you made one error builds character!

If you can't manage to build with legos I don't want to know how far you will make it in the world.

The important thing there was not so much the action but the capability of exerting that much mental energy on one thing.

Well, we were talking about the validity of the argument that we need EW to be able to fix errors that are made in the course of making a build, but if you can't think well enough to not make serious errors with digitally rendered, small, plastic blocks, how well are you going to do when you have a job?

ive been able to use the admin wand thing to fix stuff without messing my whole build.

It takes about 5 seconds to build an extra support so that you can modify bricks that are at the bottom of your structure.

I think we need EW so I don't need to think or have any challange in what I build.
