My monitor's resolution is natively 1680x1050, but that is not an option.

check the "Fullscreen" box

Higher Resolution isn't always a good idea as I found out, high makes the game run slower and can cause lag.

yes, play on 16x16. XD

open console and type setres(1680,1050);
which are (width, height).
