Author Topic: Getting a New Computer Soon  (Read 751 times)

This is going to be my very first PC computer. At the moment I am using an iMac with only 2GHz, 1 GB memory, and 200 GB Hard Drive space. (It's my family's computer.) I have explained to my dad that since I'm entering my second year of high school and my brothers are getting older, (one of them is going into high school) we need to get another computer in the house. That is when we decided that we needed one. Today I went to IKEA (Rofl) we found a desk and everything, we went home and found the space that we knew would fit the desk. Went to Dell.com and looked at their desktops, had a look at the Alienware's. Found out the the XPS had better presets than the Alienware, and it cost less. So we compiled our computer and this is what we decided on.

Is this a good desktop to start off with? Discuss. (We haven't bought ANYTHING yet.)

looks good. I have a dell xps studio, and the mouse that came with it is nice. Your lucky you have such a big monitor, I still have the HP VS17e that came with our crappy HP (it died because of an unknown problem). We have 2 computers, but the second one is old and crappy.

Oh my god lucky as hell. This monitor is broken though...I can't turn it off XD

If my parents don't just buy another vs17e I wanna get a 21.5 inch monitor (anything bigger wouldn't fit in the monitor section on my desk). 17 inches is to small.

People aren't understanding Sandy Bridges are out.

Don't get the 930, get the i7 2600.
