Author Topic: Looking for Emergent Gameplay  (Read 27267 times)

I think that the most emergent thing that I've ever (attempted) in Blockland is my spaceship RPG. It worked out horribly though. Too many random n00bs that I've never seen asking for crew classes that didn't exist like "specialized shock trooper".

I had big plans too!!!  :panda:

There's also the fleet build. That was pretty fun!

Not to disappoint you or anything, but Badspot needs something with more quality and effort put into it, good spelling is a plus, too.

i wasn't expecting anything special, really, i only posted pics was for Nate Wolff, he wanted to let the world know that he knows how to drive.....

Jail noobs ftw :D

This picture was taken in MrPickles server. No noobs were hurt during this pic.

i still have no idea how to get to blue hell on that Lego vice city. :panda:

Go underground and fall, there should be a second layer of water and a blue hell interior.

Its Nat Wolff from the stuff (not a show its a stuff) Naked Brothers Band

Dunno if this qualifies, but I've been developing a mod I call Rise of Blockland.

In it, players are challenged to be the most successful and rich people possible in order to get their share of the brick pie. Despite the fact that there are no anti-spam rules whatsoever, because players are held accountable for each and every brick, the average build turns out better, in my opinion, than a typical server.

Players being forced to build next to each other, to advertise their products, to present an appealing form of business that will attract customers, to having builds accessible with a lack of jets or vehicles, etc. all create emergent construction styles and unique gameplay elements for how players approach the game and each other.

You make a good point Wallet.
