Author Topic: I'm Sick Of Snow Delays  (Read 1924 times)

I was eagerly awaiting if my district had a school closing.
I was disappointed to see another delay. For the fifth time in two weeks.

All the staff in my school said we had a good chance of having a closing.

Can they change their minds if they want a delay to change to a closing?

I'm just sick of these delays. They waste my time, even if I get short school days.

You are getting less time in school, stop complaining because most of us still have a full day of school. Lucky for the older side of the group, we are also getting midterms around this time.

you have to make up snow days, most kids in georgia already do have to redo the days. the only reason i don't is because my school has like 5 more days of school.

I dont know where the hell you live oromis, we have had a 5 day weekend here, hope we get back on monday, I miss my friends.

Walk to their house
it's not snow, it's a thin layer of snow covered by a thick layer of ice. most streets have nothing but thick ice on them. icepicks are practically useless and people in georgia don't have them anyway.

What, just because I don't live in a snowstorm means I live in some far off place that dictates the usage of the phrase "where the hell you live"? I am normal :c

lol i have a 2 hour delay tomorrow and had no school today.

you must live in the nevada desert.

You do know that closures are just like an upgrade from delays? Like if two hours later, things are still stuffty, they close?

Dude, up yours. Snow delays are awesome. You get to sleep in, have an easy morning, and then have a shorter, disrupted, abnormal day of school that still counts as a day of school (you don't eat into your snow day budget).

We've got a 2 hour delay right now cause the wind chill is like 3 degrees F. ._.

pusillanimous individual.
Over here, we get delays when it's -30.
Or -22F

There's a reason the north has a few days to spare for snow.

no,no, a pusillanimous individual would not be able to resist that kind of weather, unless it were extremely hairy, i think this person is most likely a richard

in georgia we have 3 saltspreader trucks and 1 snow plow. the only snow plow that goes through residential streets are from private contractors.  we have no days to spare for snow because it almost never snows in the south, the last time it snowed like this was 18 years ago.
