In all honesty, if the animal is that old I'd say put it to sleep, put it out of its misery. I'd tell my family to take my ass off life support if I was in a bad state that made it known I was gonna die.

My dog will be able to come home at 1:00 EST today. What happened according to the vet was that there was a nerve problem that mimicked a seizure, but was a bit worse. The dog is on medicine and will recover soon.
