WHY!? ALL SAVE DATA CAN NOT BE SALVAGED, ALL IS LOST! I mostly cared about the saved data for all of the Rock Band games, Little Big Planet and ModNation Racers, we had just gotten Little Big Planet 2 yesterday (we didn't get a chance to play it, i only played some of the tutorials and that was it), so there wasn't any important saved data for that, but all of those other games lost their data too! Assassins Creed I, II, and Brotherhood, Mirror's Edge, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, NHL 11, NFL 11, Guitar Hero games, and much more than i can't think of right now!

According to my brother, he said he was playing Rock Band 3, then he went to play some other game i can't remember the title of right now, then the PS3 went off with three beeps and shortly after, it had a yellow light then it wouldn't turn on anymore

I believe you can salvage the hard drive on a ps3, it uses a computer hard drive thats formatted for FAT32.
