I used to play blockland, quite a while ago (BLID: 1479). I hop on every once in a while but haven't seriously played. What's going on these days? Popular server types? Add-ons? Maps?

Popular server types:
Team Death Match
Serious Roleplay Zombie, Apocalyptic

Most servers are Family RPs or Dragon Family RPs
I suggest looking for a server hosted by a BL_ID lower than 19000

Despite the hating community that has went down hill since v16 or something, nothing much. Ghost released some new maps a wee while back, Bushido is making a knight thingy. Gravity Cat is making a new weapon pack filled with awesome stuff. No good server either really.

I suggest downloading the GUI client for DRPG and playing that, it's the only real good server as of now

That and some other servers that come up.
They are hard to come by, but if you ever see mine up, give it a try.

Mostly, people are just doing the same thing as other people, and it seems everyone over ID 21000 doesn't know how to spell and rages when they get sniped.

Personally, I mix things up by hosting my Destruction Derby (which I am going to make not a race-type thing but an actual arena)

For servers, just get some friends and host, or find someone you would expect to host a nice calm server, Grav's or Baddy's server is always either filled with people or just not the right time to shine.
Go IRC random people until someone replies with something nice and/or nonloveual. C=

RiseOfBlockland2 now out. Epic server. Also, don't host CityRPGs, unless it's highley edited/jookia's etc.

AND it's v19. As of v14, PORT FORWARDING IS NO LONGER NEEDED :D
Also, as of v18, with the new superfast loading system, if you're on mac, you may get a Sqlite error. To fix it, go into your Blockland folder and delete Cache.db

I remember when Wallet made the first Rise of Blockland. I played it alot :D he taught me to script a little too, way before he did his "scripting classes" or whatever.
