Author Topic: 4 Computer Questions about my computer.  (Read 1163 times)

1. How much does an ATI Radeon HD 5450 cost. (Googling)
2. If I put in a second one, will it double my graphics-card power.
3. Would I need a better power sourcer thingy (Name? :c)
4. Would I need to re-update drivers?

Just wondering, since it doesn't fare well when FRAPS records.
However I don't know if it has to do with processors or anything.
What does FRAPS use more than anything?

Also, I want tricked out gaming stuff.

lovey computer for reference.

All I know is that, number 2, you can't put in two GPUs.

Not even two of the exact same?

1. How much does an ATI Radeon HD 5450 cost. (Googling) dunno
2. If I put in a second one, will it double my graphics-card power. yes
3. Would I need a better power sourcer thingy (Name? :c) YES!!! like a big one. 1000watts or even larger meaning you need some fancy cooling as well
4. Would I need to re-update drivers? yes

Yes you can if they're the same card.

Thanks Bisjac.
I don't know if 4 fans and 2 side-vents would do the job.
And how much would a big power source like that cost about?

Number three is called a PSU for power supply unit.

That is the extent of my knowledge lol.

1. How much does an ATI Radeon HD 5450 cost. (Googling) About 50 Bucks
2. If I put in a second one, will it double my graphics-card power. It depends, I think most games only read one video card. You also have to make sure you can crossfire to begin with.
3. Would I need a better power sourcer thingy (Name? :c) PSU, power supply, you might. Depends, what do you have now?
4. Would I need to re-update drivers? Most likely.

As for fraps, fraps is more CPU heavy than anything.

Intel is generally overpriced in my opinion. I'd go with an AMD if your motherboard can support it.

Tell me what your motherboard CPU slot type is. If you don't know give me the specific model of your processor and I should be able to find it out based off of that.

Thing is, I don't know how in hell I'd find that out, besides opening up the side of my computer with a flashlight. Oh dear, care to teach me?

The processor according to my computer's properties is:

Intel Core i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz
If that helps.

Your slot type is LGA1156 I believe.

Now what's your budget so I can recommend a processor?
