Author Topic: Disabling Parental Controls  (Read 1585 times)

...specifically the time limit that's settable on a computer and anything that would allow an administrator to detect that the controls have been compromised. The administrator isn't handicapped but I assume they aren't particularly tech savvy. The admin account has a password obviously and the controls being used are the default Windows Vista parental controls. The clock can't be modified and I'm not sure if the task manager can be so solutions using and not using it are appreciated. I ask because a gril I know has azn mother who's set her usable time from 6 PM to 7 PM. Thanks in advance!

if you can't type then you will never disable the parental controls on any computer.

Can you open command prompt?
Assuming your using windows.
Where th forget did you get can't type?

Windows Vista, and I didn't get a chance to ask as aware I am as that would be very helpful.

Boot computer and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice when you See Windows welcome screen / login screen. It'll show classic login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in username field and leave password field blank, press Enter and you should be able to login Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".

Worked for me.

Will this work if the original Administrator password has been changed?

inb4 delete system32.exe

Fortunately I'm not handicapped and neither is she lol.

inb4 delete system32.exe
inb4 he does it

There was a topic about this a while ago. If anyone could find that too it would help.

Why would I? Save that for the real trolls in the forums.

inb4 delete system32.exe
system32 is a folder, not an executable
