Author Topic: Does saying swear words help?  (Read 3808 times)

I loathe, hate, dispise, feel apsolutely horrible about swears.  They are unnessisary and do NOT enhance sentences!
They are words. They are not inherently bad. There is no logical reason swear words, above other words, are "bad". Saying them does not make anyone any worse off, they are just words. I use them to articulate, or to show more emotion in what I say.

This whole thing society has done in making a list of specific words deemed "bad" that cannot be said because they are "bad words" is loving stupid. There's no reason for it, it makes no sense. What makes these words so bad? They all have meaning, and their meaning isn't even particularly negative. forget, specifically, is an extremely versatile word. Really, people just vulgarize these words for no reason. It's completely irrational and stupid.

I guess maybe it could be because they are primarily used in insult fashion, but that doesn't make sense because there's plenty of offensive insults that don't involve swear words, and EVEN THEN, why the forget would we censor insults? Oh yeah, to protect people's precious "feelings". I hate those types of people. forget you, and forget your feelings. No one cares, and people care even less when you bitch and moan.

Oddly enough, OP didn't define what he meant by "swear" word, or by "help".
He left it up to us to assume, more or less, as he was quite vauge.

I don't think it makes you look cool, I just use them when I'm excited or angry.

I hate it when like 10 year olds say something like "what the fudge"
Swears sound more logical than that :u

Fudge sounds okay to me. But all the rest are annoying.

And saying poop, butt etc sounds so childish to me also.

Personally, I see no need to use them. They of course are better to exclaim when in pain, it's been proven, though of course yelling loudly works as well.  :cookieMonster:

I don't think anyone should consider a word a "swear" word.
And that's the awnser to the title question, also.

Honestly, I got into the habit of using them about 2/3 years ago.
They are just a crutch for when we talk.
And to be honest, I'm trying to stop.
And it is HARD.

Age:   12

I can only imagine why.

Also, forget forget forget forget forget forget forget stuff richard ASS.

OP is 12 and thinks that people only use the word forget for pseudointelligent purposes.

That is not a word. Use a dictionary that is NOT the urban dictionary/novels.

It is definitely word. The prefix "pseudo", meaning false, and intelligent, referring to intellect. False intellect. It may be properly spelled with a hyphen but regardless it's still a word.
