Author Topic: People Who Don't Know How To Use Adobe Illustrator  (Read 2259 times)

...pisses me off greatly.

I mean seriously it's not that hard. Here are some examples.

Coloring
I hate it intensely when people use the paint tool to color in large sections/images. When people do that I scream, "YOU FREAKING MORON! This is going to take foreveer!!! Just connect the god dam anchor points and select the color you want!" Well not exactly like that I usually just say, "Use the pen tool. :/"

Improper Use Of The Pen Tool
Example A: People click and drag to make a line segment.

You moron! Click once then click again. Point A and point B. Jesus it's not that hard!

Example B: People click repeatedly to generate curves.

You lazy forget, just click drag, then click drag. Stop being god dam lazy. You can easily re-adjust the curves if it doesn't come out right.

How Do I Format My Original Workspace
Window > Workspace > Essentials

Come on this is just trivial.

I Can Only Select One Object
Double click off of the image. You're stuck in a layer, click out of the layers. My god!

Flare Tool
I'm pretty sure you don't need 20 loving flares on your screen.

Drop Shadow
Yes it's a nice effect and I usually use it to simulate ambient occlusion but don't loving overkill it.

Why Does My Image Look Weird When I Resize It
Yes it's a vector graphic so you don't lose quality when you resize the image BUT it keeps the same stroke size so it can cause some issues. Just simple change the stroke. ASDF!

Summary
Pisses me off greatly. If you don't know how to use, then don't use it. I mean of course practice makes perfect but don't practice on a group project that can effect my grade. Just leave it to me. :/

I find this more annoying than searching and pecking on a keyboard. Yeah, it's that bad.

Note: Theres an option in CS4 Illustrator, I don't know about others, that when you scale it, you go into the options and can scale the stroke automatically as well.

Orly? I only have CS3. Interesting. I'll have to see if mine has that option.

Why Do People Insist Like Talking Like This All The Time

Why Do People Insist Like Talking Like This All The Time

You're A Moron Because That's Only For The Section Headers. Get Out Now.

A. I'm used to other programs requiring me to click and drag, So I tend to click drag even when I don't need too.

B. Sometimes I like to get the basic outline of something and then adjust it to perfection, It drives me mad when I forget up somewhere with a curve.

And it's not like doing the above wrong will cause major forget ups in the image and make it look all stuffty and stuff.

Yeah but it takes longer than it should and it doesn't look as nice if you were to do it properly.

Dam =

Damn = –verb (used with object)

Lol you're dumb.

Not just a cuss word.

Yes, I know that.

The way he is using it though, is as a curse word.

Also Keo, stop being an starfish.
If people don't know how to use a computer, then why the forget would you yell at them trying to tell them.

No. We took the same class on Adobe Illustrator. They should loving know how to use it.

People have their own way(s) of using everything.
I'm afraid that there's nothing you can do about it, either.

I feel your pain, bro.

That doesn't restrict his right to be mad. :/

Of course not.
But it makes it so that when he does use that right, it makes him seem like an starfish.
