There is little to no sound coming out of my amp

I just got my new guitar(yay) and I'm having some difficulty getting sound out of the amp. It was working fine before but the sound just cut out on me. I believe the problem is with the guitar as the cord makes plenty of noise when you move it around. Note that I can still hear the guitar coming through the amp it's just very low.
Help would be appreciated

The amp plug is in all the way but the furthest the guitar plug goes in, it pops out

I switched the plugs around, sounds the same
And by pops out I mean, I push it really hard, it pops out a little bit

Crack it open and test the voltage of all the components. Bring up the circuit schematic too so you can confirm the IV characteristics of the transistors and such.
