Author Topic: My Xbox is broken. (Again) (Read 1125 times)

Well, for the second time in my life, my Xbox 360 conquered out. Sadly, right after buying Black Ops, which I was looking forward to playing 5 minutes ago.

Anywho, the issue is, is that whenever I close the disk tray, it clicks twice, then makes a RRRRRing sound. When I close it with a disk in it, it just clicks twice. And then says Open Tray on the screen.

Any fixits you guys have?

Happened to my old Xbox once. My brothers and I sadly could not fix it so we got a Ps3.

That reminds me. It ISN'T the new Xbox, and is at least 4 years old by now.

Mine is acting all screwy as well. I can't watch DVDs on it. It just black screens and freezes. Does the same for games now and then but I cleared the drive cache and it performs somewhat better. No clue if it'll play DVDs yet. ot really willing to try since I got this laptop which does that just fine.

My friend's 8 year Xbox 360 crapped out recently and it was a disk tray issue. So because of many other reasons i don't want to mention because it will start "CONSOLE WARZ" I bought a PS3. Very happy with it!

I've had mine for around a year and a half now. Mine still hasn't crapped out on me, although I don't play it often.

My xbox 360 has been broken for years now. we are planning on buying a new one and getting Kinect. If they do this, I will be very happy.

I have a PS3 already, and I don't want my parents pissing at me for breaking it too.
I never want to use our Wii again.

Any fixits?

You must have completely skipped when I mentioned clearing my drive's system cache and that it improved performance.
