Author Topic: Help identifying a GTA IV Vehicle  (Read 1887 times)

A few weeks back, I was playing with some friends on GTA IV: TBoGT Free Mode. As everyone was driving around, I noticed one of them was driving odd truck.

It was box shaped, almost like a delivery truck, but definitely armored. The front had a slight slope down to the bottom of the vehicle, although almost perfectly shaped like a box. No matter how many times I asked, he wouldn't just get out and back in to tell me the name of it and kept driving away. He didn't remember where it spawned either. It really frustrates me, as I haven't seen the truck since.

AND IT'S NOT THE DAMN APC, SWAT TRUCK, ETC. Every time I ask, someone will say that. Then I have to point out the APC isn't box-shaped, it's angled and definitely not what I saw. And the SWAT truck is too smooth textured and of course has the protruding engine and seating blah.

If no one can think of it, I'll have to do a quick MSPaint drawing of it to assist, but I really don't think it's that hard to figure.

what you're describing sounds like a brickade but that was cut from the game

Whoa. That's the closest I've seen to the vehicle. Let me find the article on it, see if there's anything about it appearing it a DLC's multiplayer in a different form.

http://gta.wikia.com/Brickade Ah damn. I think it was that. The past few times I played GTA IV, there were tons of hackers. I guess he hacked it, the article says you can. I would have loved to find it the normal fashion ingame, but I guess I'll have to do without.

Wouldn't this go in games?

More people read Off-Topic! :D

What's the definition of what goes in there? Does it have to include everything with a video game in any involvement?

My brother mods GTA IV.

so awesome o.o

I should get some DLC but the missions are getting damn hard. I almost finished the one where you go in the Old Hospital for the coke and got all the way back across the bridge and past roadblocks, everything, but I was sure my truck was either gonna die or catch fire... I stopped and got out to switch vehicles and finish up the pursuit when there were no close cops but I took a step out and got forgeted hard by one of the police Patriots. That sucked, I ragequit. :o

Note I died instantly from near full health and that was my third try.

EDIT: With the 360 DLC, do you download it to your Xbox and then its just compatible with the original disk?

I never finished the main game. Every time I am nering 100% completion on everything, it suddenly adds a bunch of new characters with like 25 missions each. And it was getting so hard, I kept giving up... And I have again. But I finished both DLC campaigns.

With loading them on the 360... it's what you choose in the phone in the main game I think. That, or starting the game via joining a person already in a DLC multiplayer. It's actually incredibly annoying. There's no lobbies. If you get knocked out of the game, it'll load the campaign of your most recent save. Example: If I'm kicked from a multiplayer game, it loads the main campaign and then I gotta load TBoGT back in to get back into the game and whine.

Also note this: The Lost and Damned from XBL Marketplace IS NOT COMPATIBLE with The Lost and Damned from the disc. This is because the disc version combines The Lost and Damned content with The Ballad of Gay Tony, making it different from the XBL version which came before TBoGT. It's f*cking annoying.

Nope. Already solved.

What?!

GTAIV IS HARD???
Jesus Christ, compared to GTASA, GTAIV is easy. I beat it in 34 hours I think... but yeah, it's easy. I did it with no cheats btw...

The gun battles are stuff. I'd be so close to the next checkpoint with like 7/8 health, and see this one very last gunmen behind a pillar. Running low on ammo, I'd run over and quickly shoot him, which is a normal method. Just as I get there, he pops out and headshots me... now I gotta kill like 50+ idiots ALL OVER AGAIN...

I like the game, but that pisses me the forget off.
