Author Topic: Having some hosting problems  (Read 558 times)

Sorry for two topics in a short space of time, I should've added this problem to my other topic.

Anyway, lately I've not been able to host for some reason. I used to be able to, but it stopped working when I tried to port forward to be able to host Garry's Mod, which didn't work. I've re-port forwarded for Blockland numerous times, trying all sorts of different options, but it doesn't seem to work for some reason. I do not use UPnP as it doesn't seem to work properly with consistence; for instance, some people would be able to connect to my server just fine, but others cannot. I have a couple ideas of what may be the problem but I cannot be sure. My laptop connects to the Internet through Wi-Fi, and as you can see in the following screenshot, only one of my wireless network connections is currently connected:

When I change TCP/IP settings on my computer, should I change them only for my LAN connection (which, as you can see, is currently disconnected), only for Wireless Network Connection 1, or both?

If there's any other information needed to assist me, just let me know and I'd be glad to get it.

When changing the TCP/IP settings, you change it for the network adapter you are using. Which in your case is "Wireless Network Connection"

See, I've done that:

Whoops, meant to end that last post with, "And it still doesn't work."

Show us the port forwarding rule on your router please?

This is the port forwarding entry for Blockland:

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe you should have 28000-28030 forwarded.
Or at least that is what I have.

I just tried that and it's still not working.

Anyone else have any insight into this?
