Primary Master 0 Not Found (Computer.)

It started when I used an IDE to Sata converter to use my external hard drive, then I got the error "Primary Master 0 not found.". So then I took the connverter out and put the old cable back in it.  Same error.

On unrelated news, I plugges a usb port thingy into the pci slot, could that be it?

check the jumper on the IDE hard drive, if this hard drive is your main drive, set the jumper to master. Otherwise, set it to slave.
