Making face decals?

Hey I have been wondering lately how do I edit a face decal. Or make my own decals. Were can I find them in the blockland folder (I presume that is were they are) and what is the best program to edit them in?

Heres a list of good programs some are not free Paint.net , GIMP and Photoshop and much more.

You should practice editing faces in them until your good at it.

Paint.net is free fairly easy to use but it's not perfect. GIMP is free, fairly easy to use once you have the hang of it. Photoshop costs money, about $200 or something?

Pretty sure there is some tutorials kicking about, but I'm to lazy to find em.
