Author Topic: Upgrading From CS4 To CS5  (Read 929 times)

My school is switching over from Adobe CS4 to CS5.

I also have Adobe Illustrator CS3 at home.

What changes should I expect? Any new features and whatnot?

This is only personal, but I find that Flash CS5 has 10x more lag than CS3. Though it would depend on if your hardware is stuff or not =/

EDIT: Like mine?

From what I've heard, everything on cs5 takes longer, menus take longer to open and files take longer to load.
I hear the content aware thing is cool though

I use CS5, not a fan. Most of the new interface features get in my way rather then assist me. 3D Painting in Photoshop is stuff, runs like ass. I prefer the older stuff though there will probably be some new useful stuff in it.

Photoshop CS4 confused me bad enough, I use CS3.

Scan your homework and fill the entire thing with Content Aware.

CS4 wasn't as confusing as you'd think, you just need to learn how to use it.

Anyways, I heard Photoshop CS5 extended has lots of new features.

Hmm... I still don't like it. :panda:

I'm making a movie using the Rotobrush right now :D

I have all CS5 products. I'm cool.

And rich.

I worked my ass off, actually. It was worth it though. My family isn't very wealthy; I just work for most of my money.

Still... o.o

I'm still broke because of it.  :cookieMonster:
