Recommend me some good Anime/Manga

I'd prefer it to be something with sci-fi/action/comedy elements present. As for romance, I don't really care as long as it isn't Yaoi all over or extremely loveual.

I don't really watch anime because a lot of it I find to be absolutely stupid, but there are a few that I have watched, and are about to.
Cowboy Bebop and Trigun I have watched, and they were good.
I am going to watch Samurai Champloo and Neon Genesis Evangelion eventually.

Death Note is really good in my opinion. Fullmetal alchemist the manga is good. The only reason I dont like the anime is because of loving Alfonz  Alphonse(spelled it horribly i bet. I got it.) loving stupid voice. Dear god it drives me insane.
