Can't get Add-Ons

OK i have tried to ask people on servers how and did so, but I'm STILL unable to get Add-Ons.  Its frustrating!  I drag the zip file into my Add-Ons folder, when i start up Blockland,  only default Add-Ons.  I had one good success in downloading a sound pack that appeared to have used a different downloading scheme, otherwise it doesn't work at ALL.

Mostly used Internet browser
The EXACT way you installed your addons: from download to game start.

My Computer:
Windows XP
I have had it since about 2004.
One processor.
Internet on Wireless ADSL2+  (Socket)
I don't have win zip.  What's that, and do i need it?
I don't know much about computers so don't bug me any more about more info.
Right now i have about 525901 AVALIBLE kilobytes. 
So I hope this is some help for your help.

Only one type of Blockland (Add-On)  download works for me and It was on this sound pack i downloaded a few years ago.  But it looks as if nobody uses it anymore.

1. You click link, download ( if mac, right click it then click "download as zip.)
2. Launch Blockland.
3. Go to start a game, then click the add-on button near bottom.
4. There should be the add-on you downloaded with a uncheckmarked box.
5. Click it so theres a check mark there.
6. Then, start the game, then when you use the wrnch on a brick and do item or weapon, it should be there.

Omg I just did it!  Without all your help!  I guess my computer was custom so I just kept fiddling around with it till I did it right.  Omg I feel realy happy C:
