I honestly think the newer ones are horrible. Not because of the animation or anything like that, but the fact that Tom get bashed, mauled, sliced, shot, burnt, skinned, tortued, evicerated and a whole heap of other stuff on a daily basis for...

Trying to get a pesky mouse. Heck, in the new episodes he sometimes barely does anything.

It just seems like the writers want to kill the poor cat, despite the fact that the situation makes him perfectly innocent. In a few episodes I saw Tom and his newly-existant owner would partake in trips to the park and international holidays. Jerry would hitch along and try to murder Tom. It's horrible and sort of upsets me.


The old episodes however were fine, the bashing wasn't as forced and the situation would rarely step out of the "cat chases mouse" scenario. Well, from my memories, that is.

It only got bad after cartoon network took over it
