When I bought BL, I kept receipts, wrote down my key, wrote down what email I used to register, and kept a copy of Blockland v8 on a disc all encrypted and hide it in a stash of other CDs, just in case. :3

You should at least know the email.

This happened to me once... And I got scared because I thought I had lost the paper I wrote my key down on. A few days later Badspot PMed me my key and I found the paper with it on it :P

I don't buy online much. I have my email, but if my email account gets deleted or I forget the password then what? So I keep the receipt as proof of purchase. And of course the key so I can access it offline. :3
