Bit harsh.

It's not stuffty at all, it is ugly and the battery is bad, but other then that, this thing is a monster.

I'd think it would only cost around 3000$ to make though.
naw, would cost around 1500. to make a desktop with this capability.
Actually, maybe not even, if youre talking performance, just get rid of the intel and put in an amd and roll with one 460gtx, you pretty much have that laptop in a desktop for around 4000$ dollars less. Plus about the dual cards, they're mobile cards, hence the M, so they are not nearly as big as a reg vid card and much less gaming power.

a i7-980x Extreme costs 1000$.

Two video cards of the same power in the laptop would be around 400-500.

That's already 1500$ not counting the rest of the parts. Yet you have a point.

Intel is extremely overpriced. Go with AMD.

AMD is known as the budget retailer.

Naw, it's only the fact that AMD has been in business longer than intel, so they have cheaper six-core and four-core tech.
Gotta brush up on dem facts. And even if it is budget, still a better choice than intel if you want more power.

Remember that those six core processors don't match the strength of even a quad core for intel.

One again, it's a budget processor.

See, you know what's funny? Intel was founded in 1968, AMD in 1969.

Besides, what difference does one more year of business make in a company's ability to manufacture various types of technology at more or less of a cost to the consumer, especially when the disparity between two competitors is only a year in a 42 and 43 year history.

Remember that those six core processors don't match the strength of even a quad core for intel.

Hold on, lets compare, six-core with 3.3ghz thats 200$ compared to an intel four-core on the laptop, 3.33ghz, but 1000$
Both have the same average life, around 5 years. It's probably in everyones best interest to go with the amd.

ah whatever lets just stop arguing about which company is better, I personally like amd though.

I didn't even state an opinion- I just called out the fact that you cited a statistic that is actually the opposite of the truth and then used it to make a handicapped point.

You forgot to mention the entire L2 Cache and any of the other things about a CPU that make a difference in it's performance.

AMD takes broken processors and deactivates a broken core so they can sell tri-core processors.

Are you comparing the price of a processor on it's own with the price of a laptop with a different processor? Because that's how I read it :I

"Okay, one of my "facts" was just proven as bullstuff. I'm just gonna shake it off and pretend like it doesn't matter to me."

It's so loving heavy you might as well buy a desktop. 13 loving pounds? damn.

and holy mother of christ, they basically found the most advanced stuff, stuffed it in it, and called it a day.
