Author Topic: Parents can see what I do on internet.  (Read 3247 times)

My parents say they can see what I look at on the Internet by checking the "router". Does anybody know what this router checking thing is?

I was fearing that was possible.

Buuut they might just be stuffting you to get you to stop looking at research.

Log into router, clear history/disable tracking.

How do you that?

I was just wondering how they can do it. It scares me that they have that type of power o_O. Anyways they installed a blocker so we don't watch research.

Well it's easy to check and delete history, no matter what browser you use, so no worries.
Also I'm not sure if your ISP keeps records.
I'm sure some do and some don't.

Type 192.168.1.1 into address bar.
Your router's system should come up.

How to get around blockers:
Search Google Images for research indirectly
Turn SafeSearch off
fap to the thumbnails

that also works if you're worried about getting viruses from research sites as well

It's funny how easily those stupid blockers can be made useless with only a minute of thinking.

Also, routers do keep a log of websites you try to access. On mine, it's only the IP address.

It'll probably ask for a username and password. If it does, type "Admin" as the username and "Password" as the password (both without quotes.)

It depends on your router. In my case neither of our routers can track what I do.

Post your router model. In addition, is it just modem>router>your computer or are there other things in between?

If they are tracking you, use ctunnel.com or something.

Your browser's history is not connected to the router's history tracking in any way. I probably just misunderstood what you said.

It's 192.168.0.1 for most non-Linksys routers (could be wrong).
