Not scary, just kinda eerie.

Half life 2. Every loving where you turn, something is there to scare the stuff outta ya. Especially with the teleporter.

Dark silent areas in games or houses.
That game lags A LOT for me but not sometimes, I HATE the first level with that freakin tornado thing and the giant sonic wave or somthing that rumbles the area and collapses the bridges.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the last few stages in Gauntlet Legacy, after you get all the runes or whatever they're called. That one stage after the huge teleporter maze creeped me out as a kid :c

In Metroid Prime 2 when you're in Dark Aether with no Light Crystals in sight and you're nearly dead "OH CRAP WHERES ONE OF THOSE STUPID THINGS WHEN YOU NEED THEEEEEM" And a few rooms in Metroid Prime 3 when you're on the GFS Valhalla.

If there is anything more creepy than creepy music to go along with creepy places, it's creepy monsters. When I was playing the first dungeon in TESI: Arena, you started in a cell with grimy walls and creepy ass ambience music. Going along with the same old music and grimy walls, you hear some grunts and skittering. You walk around a bit, and you hear a grunt and a hit sound, and you turn around and a rat with a bloody mouth is pouncing at you. loving scary.

Hunter: The Reckoning
The loving teddybear... Oh god.

That, and The Suffering made my nights hell.
