Author Topic: The Zeitgeist Movement  (Read 11014 times)

I hate it when people think "oh poor homeless people!"
I'm sure there are plenty of legit people out there who deserve help but most of them have never worked to get money to sustain themselves.

The higher class people(or most, at least) have worked in some form or way (whenever it's in physical labor or hours of studying for politics, economics or such) to get to that position.

I truely feel bad for people in Africa and other places where supplies are short and people die, but it's life.
Not everything's going to be happy and perfect.

Automated resource-based economy.
I wouldn't like an automated "society", I guess if that's the case. I have enough issues using a pencil sharpener without cringing. :c

You can't rip apart society and then rebuild on the broken rubble.

You need to gradually renovate.

I concur.

Not everything's going to be happy and perfect.
Thank you.

Also didn't the last guy who posted this ragequit the entire forum?

Oh, and:He's not old enough to comprehend philosophical and sociological information, so of course he believes in a broken system like Zeitgeist. Either that or he just wants to be edgy.
Wizzeh's age is irrelevant, and if it counts for anything, the founder of the movement is now in his nineties. If you'd bother to watch the films you'd see that the speakers are exclusively people who are clearly much older than Wizzeh, myself, or you.

I'm not going to bother picking apart arguments again right now as I ought to be doing other things, but I'll likely be back later. Again, please attempt to understand the movement before making the decision to oppose or support it. This movement is not communist or socialist, in fact, I am not aware of any naming of the proposed system. Its radical difference from the status quo which many of us are well-accustomed to is why many of you feel inclined to oppose the movement without much though, and I can assure you that this movement is well deserving of some actual thought rather than just everyone using the mindset of "we don't like what we don't understand!" as in the last thread.

Wow you sure are a mature 16 year old.
I'm 18 you clown, and I was being literal. It's part of human developmental psychology.
I doubt you could even summarize what the movement is about
There's not much to summarize, the movement is essentially socialism promoting positive philosophical ideologies.
but I'll assure you that thar is a very poor debater and you'll find more resistance in me, not that I care.
Okay.

I'm 18 you clown, and I was being literal. It's part of human developmental psychology.Okay.

The guy who made the movie is an old forget. This has nothing to do with age.

"There's not much to summarize, the movement is essentially socialism promoting positive philosophical ideologies."

No it's not.

I believe that the world's system is corrupt and in all bad, but you can't just go about shoving revolutionary ideas that could make it better or worse into the throats of people who are happy with how society is treating them.

The human species needs great tragedies, constantly reminding them that they need to work towards a single goal of bettering the world.

I am not letting the "government" of this movement baby every part of my life.

I was saying that you don't fully understand the movement, why it won't work, why it can't work, or why it's a stupid idea. Regardless, you're inferring that people of older age can't be completely batstuff stupid. In which case, you clearly haven't heard of President Bush Jr.

Oh, and yes, it is.

you're inferring that people of older age can't be completely batstuff stupid.
nice about-face

The movement is essentially a mass restructuring of a developing society.

Don't fix it if it's not done growing.

I agree with almost every part of this statement, except I think the current system is only exaggerated by revolutionary demagogues to make it seem worse than it really is.
