I'm not going to argue with you why it is good to help people from dying even though you don't like them.

He didn't say that he doesn't like them, just that what a person earns is their own. To force them to give it up would be cruel in a number of ways. :o

I do, however, agree with you that it is important to help those less 'fortunate' - Or even those that are 'fortunate'. Helping those around you applies to all that you can. Maybe not financially, but their are many was to offer assistance or just simply be kind -, as it is important to try and influence others to do the same. But you ultmately can't make anyone do anything and to try to do so would be rather rude.
