Woo thank you Kingdaro I found one.
So now is the bigger problem.

That does not help me find what I want.
Well it would but that would take too long.

going to say no. unless you're going into a career as a photographer you don't need anything that fancy/expensive at all

edit: 1400 loving dollars for a lens holy stuff

edit2: sweet jesus 1700 dollar lens. this thing costs more than most cameras jesus christ on a stick

edit3: I just stuff myself. is photography really that expensive?

That's something I'd do as a job if my current plans don't follow through.
So, yes, I probably would.

But my main goal here is to get a camera that has adjustable shutter speed.

if you're actually considering it then the camera might be worth it. if you don't need all the video recording and stuff however, I suggest you find a cheaper model that only has what you need. but again, if you're seriously considering it then it might be a wise decision.

I'm looking on Amazon to see if there's something similar that costs a lot less.
Is Ebay really trustworthy for things like this?

personally I wouldn't trust ebay, but if you find a trusted seller then go for it. buying one new from the store / online would probably your best option.

They could show you screenshots of a camera, or screenshots of screenshots of a camera.

In short: Amazon would be the best bet.

Waitwhat.
This is pretty much the same thing when added to the lens, yet a lot less than $1,300.
I'll tell you what, some people need to work on their pricing.

Wtf? 2500 for a freakin' lens?

exactly what I'm trying to say here

So now that I got that particular part settled, $1,300 has been lowered to $750.
Cool.

* SpreadsPlague points out that the camera you picked out had its price had cut in half, and there's only 1 left in stock

just saying

If you're not going to be taking an assload of pictures, I would recommend getting a film SLR, only because they are crazy cheap.  I got a body and lens for $50 and another set for $20.

I took these with a full-auto-only Canon T50: https://picasaweb.google.com/themedival1/T50Roll1?authkey=Gv1sRgCPmg5sHNxPj89gE&feat=directlink

The thing with film, is you're less likely to take 20 shots of one thing, because each shot costs money.  It's kind of a liberating experience, because you're not always checking to see if you got the shot.
