This has been going on for about three days. Needless to say, you all heard of it the very second it started, so it's relatively pointless for me to even create this topic.
EVEN SO.
A team of programmers at IBM has created an ingenious supercomputer called Watson, and have decided to test his capabilities on the game show
Jeopardy! against two human competitors, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter.
http://www-943.ibm.com/innovation/us/watson/What do you think of this innovation? Potential robotic megalomaniac? Innovative technological breakthrough?
BOTH?
EDIT: Oh yeah, and the humans won in the end. Contrary to what I believed by about halfway through the competition, when Watson had accumulated around $37,000 and the humans collectively had only around $12,000.
