Author Topic: Can't Create Music For Bl  (Read 1211 times)

Hey I need a little bit of help.  I tried to create a new music file for Blockland in Audacity, did all the steps correctly, but it wont appear in my music list in Blockland.  Here are the key things I did to put it in Bl that should have worked, but didn't.

1.  I split the audio tracks and set them both to mono instead of left and right
2.  song is about 55 seconds long (couldn't set it to 30 seconds otherwise it would mess up the whole loop
3.  I exported it to BL as a oog. file
4.  I put it in the music folder.

The song is From COD Black Ops from the Rooftops Level (if you never heard the song look it up its epic), but all of these steps should have worked at least for local play.  Is there something else I need to do in order for it to show up?

Please tell me and no mean or harsh comments.

Theres you problem. The loop needs to be under 30 seconds, otherwise blockland won't run it.

This is wrong if you mean the song itself
Songs can be more then 30 seconds

Wrong.

Wait, it be more than 30 seconds? Heh, because a youtube video said it had to be under. I have failed :c

But, like Badspot said... Is that music file smaller than 500kb?

"Don't post full songs because...
  1.  No one wants to wait for that crap to download from your server
  2.  I don't want to get beat down by the RIAA

Limit yourselves to looping songs that are < 500kb in size."

They can be bigger, but try not to make them bigger.

yea the file is 489 KB
Hmm. You sure you put it in your music folder?

when you split the audio tracks, delete one and set the other to mono, then when you export it as an .ogg put it in C:/Program Files/Blockland/Add-Ons/Music

Lol, I just made my first music file.
It's the TF2 Intruder Alert song, if anyone wants it, I'll upload it as an attachment.
