There are many threads complaining about the social status and foundation of the Blockland Forums.
A more recent one such as
THIS.
This forum is full of idiots.
As a matter of fact, I've come to realise the vast majority of people in this forum are just big headed children that find pleasure in making others feel bad about themselves.
The chances are most people here lie about their age and pretend to be somebody big when the fact is their lives are full of stuff so they take it out on people to make them feel better about themselves...
I'm not expecting this to have any effect on you people but the fact is you're no better than anyone else that posts here.
Although his statement is written poorly he does prove a well thought point. It seems now that to reach a high status of "popularity" on the forums you have to discourage other members and act like a pompous, egotistical prick.
Welcome to internet my good chap
Kevdude I love you but...
So it's socially acceptable to be a complete starfish to other people just because your identity is kept confidential on the internet? Just because the majority of people act this way doesn't make it right.
Let's look at it this way. If everybody started killing babies and was labeled as a socially acceptable manner would that mean it would be RIGHT to murder small children?
Welcome to the internet.
Need I say more? If we continue on with this attitude we might as well abandon all etiquette and type nonsensical bullstuff into our posts.
Yup, my life is stuff, I'm an starfish, and everything I've ever said was all a lie and just to make me feel better, everyone else is just like me, except you of course, you're perfect, I'm sorry you've had to deal with all of our stuff, how can I ever apologies for how wrong I was?
I believe you perceived his post in a wrong manner. He wasn't referring to members being richards to him yet to other members. Although he may have hinted it, he was still arguing for a bigger and better cause.
I'd also like to point out the prime example of a narcacism right here. Yes, you are an starfish, we all are at times (except Magick Mage :/) and you're not perfect yourself.
Stop thinking your invincible just because you're well known on the forums. We need to act more humble. (Especially me. :P)
I'm not saying we should all change and be perfect and happy-do-da-who-gives-a-forget. I'm just saying we should maybe be a bit more optimistic in our approach.
It's amazing how people remember someone for the one bad thing they've done rather than all the good things.
A prime example is Kalphiter. He brought us many brilliant add-ons but is hated vigorously for Blockland Cloud. We all make mistakes, get over it.
As for new members, loosen the forget up. We were all nine at one point in our life. Guide them, teach them, show them how to be mature or we're no smarter than they are. We could be looked upon as adults perhaps. We shouldn't shun newcomers just because they make some "noobie" mistakes.
I'd rant a lot more but I believe I've already hit my limit to my wall of text and I'm really doubting anyones going to take the time to read this. Knowing the community you will simply just skim through this post and come up with your "witty" comments.
If you do take the time to read this I appreciate it even if you don't agree with me on the subject at hand.
Sincerely,
Keonesan
P.S. I'm not sure if this falls into Drama? If so it'll just get moved.
