So recently i broke my razer headset, and i want to get a new mic, not necessarily a headset, but a really good quality mic, for under $200 Any good ones, it doesn't matter if it is on a headset though. Also, i would like it to be kind of durable not breakable.

$200

Is everyone on the forums rich?
:c
Well head over to WalMart and get one for 25 bucks.

Id rather be heard, and not have to buy 20 or more in a week.

I'm currently wearing a headset that has a missing right speaker and packing tape wrapped around it to keep the wires in.

And the microphone died a while ago.

...
All you rich spoiled people are the same. I've had a $35 pair for God knows how long.
If you can't keep something from breaking, then that's your fault.
Sorry, but it's true.

I bet that the sound quality is great, and i am so rich and spiled working for my money, and living with my retired grandparents, don't be such and ignorant ass because you don't have your own money to buy yourself nice things.

I only want it for the microphone

I've got plenty of money, I just don't buy over-priced stuff for no reason.
No one needs something that's over 100 dollars just to record your voice. And yes, the sound quality is great.
They both do the same thing. One may do it better, but 50 dollars is well enough to get something as simple as a microphone.

I am wearing a 50 dollar Logitech headset. The quality is less than stellar, but still pretty good, and it has not deteriorated one bit, and almost every time I get up I knock it off my desk onto the wood floor. Take better care of your mics or just don't buy one at all.

this is the one I have: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/devices/7115

I got 'em at office max.

if you want a standalone mic http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/microphones/devices/221

I highly doubt you it has that good of clarity. I cannot prove this, but I haven't had a good experience with cheap stuff.

Looks nice, but might be a little overkill for me :D

He's just buying something nice for himself with his well-earned money. Sure, $200 is a lot for a microphone, but he probably doesn't have much else to spend it on.

I meant that as my limit not it had to be $200 or I wouldn't even consider it.

Looks nice, just too small :o

There's a difference from "over-priced stuff" and regular stuff you purchase from Wal-mart. The things that are overpriced cost so much for a reason, you're usually paying for quality.
