Author Topic: Sister is being a sore loser  (Read 1269 times)

So, on Monday, my sister (20yrsold) wanted to play Mario Kart Wii. So, we played and everytime she won, she was like, "YOU LOSE! I WIN!" and it ticked me off. But when I win, I get a grin. So, on tuesday, I won the majority of the races, and I just got that grin. She hits me when she loses. Today she came in and wanted to play. I beat her and on the last match, she complained about me being a jerk because I won't let her win. What am I supposed to do? Not play? So, then she ragequits and goes in the living room. I came out 5 minutes later and I went to my mom in the kitchen, and my sister automatically thinks I'm complaining about her. I told her I'm not. Then all of a sudden, she tells me that I'm a sore winner and that I'm supposed to let her win. My mom said that I don't need to try so hard and that I'm "Uber-competitive". I just left and went on my Wii and posted this.

So, help?

Is your sister hot?

Ask her why you should let her win.

Tell her to stop whining and actually try to EARN that victory gloat.

Is your sister hot?

Ask her why you should let her win.

Well, my mom says that If she doesn't win, she won't want to play. I understand that, but my sister's reason is because she lets me win all the time and that she's my sister. Now, her reason isn't all that logical. I understand that she wants to have a chance, but she doesn't have to get mad. Why can't she just tell me that she wants to win? Also, there is no fun in racing if your opponent doesn't try. No one else I know does this, but on Monday, I wanted her to try Goldeneye, and I shot her and the got mad and left. I just can't play games with her if she can't deal with losing.

Then tell her exactly that.
"I can't play games with you if you can deal with losing"

Then tell her exactly that.
"I can't play games with you if you can't deal with losing"

Okay, but what if she still says that I should let her win?

Okay, but what if she still says that I should let her win?
Just say
"If you want people to let you win. You know you aren't winning for real. So why is it enjoyable?"

This is why sisters and video games don't mix. NEVER play video games with a sister. The only person I "let" win is my girlfriend, if she is ever playing video games. And only sometimes.

Agreed.

My sister and I are only competitive only Mario Kart, she can't win, although it's quite challenging because she's more difficult to beat than the 150cc race bots.

What the forget did I just read?

I just won`t play with her.

EDIT: She was "shooting" me with her hands as I was talking to my mom about it.

Wait shouldn't she be out of the house. (No offense)

She is. She visits every 2nd week or such.
