I just saw two white people in a watermelon eating contest and a black woman made the following statement in reaction to that. "There is a watermelon eating contest and there isn't even one black person? Really? *flips off camera*" So watermelon eating jokes are not tribal.

2 things-

It's not tribal it it's true

and

It's only tribal to you because the thought of it being tribal popped into your head
