Blockland getting laggy? Or is it just me?
I think Blockland has got alot more server lag ever since people didnt need to forward there ports to host servers.
I personally believe that it's the Blockland master server, I think it's being overloaded.
Something like Minecraft's master server being overloaded maybe?
AND NO, I dont have a crappy stuffty computer or something like that. My internet is fine too.

And I am talking about "Server Connection Lag" not "Graphical Lag" or that stuff

persobrown townly
what.

And how does the master server effect the connection with players? The players play directly.

No, it's because people with suckass internet started hosting because of Badspot adding UPnP.

This could be a problem with the host's connection or their computer's capability. I don't think a problem with the master server would cause that.

I like your view

But what about Kalph's server?
When he made that "Sell dedi servers?" topic or whatever it was, he said in the thread he had some very nice computer stuff :P I forgot what it was, but it was good enough for him to keep 4 dedi servers running
And I was just at his server the other day, and his server had 300 ping

When I go on Blockland I see just about all the servers with a ping over 200-300. I used to see servers with a 100 ping and i thought that was high

Many people using Windows XP and old routers from the 90s.

It's not just a view.
It's a fact.

It's probably your internet, then.

I was just at Speedtest.net My speed was 10-15MB/s
And i am Win7, I use Comcast too

I mentioned "Kalphiter's Super Server" being laggy

There's more to your internet connection than download speed. What did the speedtest report for ping?

Many people using Windows XP and old routers from the 90s.

I don't know about old routers, but It doesn't really matter the operating system that one is using.

54.0 mbps over here....

300 ping
Ping doesn't have to deal all with speed, it also has to deal with distance from the server.
A server near your closest internet hub has a lower ping than a server in another continent.

Might have to do with the host.

Might be something else.

Probably the first one.  :cookieMonster:
