a cartesian plane seems best, i don't even know how'd you have that much stuff effectively on just a regular lame-o line graph.

True, but I just think it would be eiser on a line graph representing the political spectrum.

this has more than that though, it also has the top and bottom representing views.

The upper extreme basically signifies Fascism or extreme government control, while the extreme bottom is just about Anarchy. Left is for Communism, and right is for Neo-Liberalism.

The real world leader examples can help you understand this. Stalin and Gandhi had near identical economic policies both being to the left of the scale, but Gandhi wanted a lot less government control over the economic and social structure.
