It should be possible.
Get the projectiles to be the homing rocket launcher's, with a different model and a different target setting.

Like it would have to search for flying vehicles above a certain point.

That would be the best, because it is seemingly impossible to shoot anything airborne down.

I like bushi's heli for that because you can shoot the pilot when he's strafing. I find it very satisfying.

A sam turret would be pretty easy to make now that I think of it-- it could be just like the heavy MG, but automated to aim at flying vehicles, and fires missiles instead of bullets

Because you've seen these in action how many times so you could make such an opinion?

Gcat's is actually pretty good.
But the ammo system could use some work.

Eh, better reserve ammo, kinda like Tier tac.
And probably interchangeable ammo, since you could do that with the nade launcher.

That's all up to shad as of right now; he needs to stop playing BF3 for just two days and get back to updating and adding a few more models
