Shad, I've been thinking of making a single-release jetpack that only lets you hover and do something with the same effect as a rocket jump. You could of course use weapons with it equipped, and be able to turn it on/off so you can walk on the ground and stuff when you want to. It would be propelled by air rather than the thrust of burning fuels; it's an excuse for a quieter jetpack, anyone under you would be blown away, it'd be less mainstream, the 'rocket-jump' thing would make more sense, etc.
