Anyways, MLP FiM is not even close to the legacy of early Spongebob Squarepants. It tries to take the same elements that Spongebob implied from the start, but does it in a less clever format and in a horrible setting.

Okay so the main plot of MLP and spongebob.

MLP: Single charcter and pet or whatever find new people and make friends and they go on wacky adventures.

Spongebob: Single character finds a job and then makes friends going on wack adventures.
